Social Media for Professionals, PUBLY News (, is looking for a candidate who will work with us as a Growth Manager Intern at Global Business Department for eight weeks!

[Position Summary]

Will work as a Growth Manager Intern at the Global Business Department for PUBLY News business. The selected candidate will conduct market research regarding PUBLY News service’s potential in the given market and run product tests for growth hypothesis, in Vietnam or Indonesia. Without the product development process, the team will set hypotheses, test and validate the hypotheses, then decide the final market to launch PUBLY News service. After selecting the ultimate market (country), the Intern will contribute to the successful launch of the service in the chosen market.



The Growth Manager Intern is responsible for:

  • Developing core hypotheses on the market and conduct tests (non-developmental tests), then verifying the market demand on the PUBLY News service

  • Acquiring potential users of the service (early adopters)

  • Working on general marketing campaigns, such as social media posting, performing paid advertisements, creating landing pages, and running a newsletter for the local target users, however, aiming to identify market demand rather than user acquisition

  • Qualitative research for collecting in-depth user feedback

  • Establishing localization strategies, following up with the marketing outputs

[Minimum Qualifications]

The candidate must qualify for the following attributes:

  • Indonesian or Vietnamese Native

  • Fluent in English or Korean (Korean preferred)

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related studies

  • Structured thinking & logical communications skills

  • Skilled in quick research and acquisition of knowledge needed for problem-solving

  • Experience in creating marketing works (content images, copies, etc.)


    [Preferred Qualifications]

    The candidate will be preferred over the others for owning the following attributes:

  • Experience in crafting landing pages using professional tools (e.g., Unbounce)

  • Experience in managing a social media page or performing paid advertisement campaigns via social media channels (e.g., Facebook)

  • Experience in qualitative user research, including survey/interview

  • Passionate in tech startups or growth/product manager positions

    Hello, I am Seungkook Lee, the CPO of PUBLY. Being selected as a Growth Manager Intern at the Global Business Department, you will be working most closely with me.

    I started working as a CPO for PUBLY in 2015 while starting my career as a software engineer at NEXON in 2007. Moving overseas, I have managed a local e-commerce business ( for over two years, successfully launching the service in the Indonesian market. Currently, I am leading the development of platform service for “all working people” at PUBLY. I work under the mission statement of “resolving the user’s biggest pain point by developing the product which presents the “true value.”

    In the realm of management, the thoughts of Peter Drucker and Andy Grove influenced me the most significantly. I believe that “Alignment, Motivation, and Training” are the most critical responsibilities of a manager. Accordingly, I am putting significant effort into having one-on-one meetings, sharing work experiences, and holding study group by positions regularly. Additionally, inspired by Marty Cagan’s “coaching series(,” I have initiated an Associate Product Manager program.


    [Working Conditions]

  • Working Hours: 25+ hrs/week

  • Location: 503, Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (Hibro Building)

  • Compensation: 12,000 KRW/hr

    * No visa support provided (Applicant should stay and be permitted to work in Korea during the contract period without visa support). Applicants are responsible for meeting the working requirements as international students in Korea: D2 Visa with Level 4 Certificate for TOPIK(expired scores are still acceptable)
    * Applicants taking all-English track courses are allowed to work the same hour without the proof for Korean Proficiency Level. English Proficiency Level and Letter of Confirmation from the Institute will be required for these candidates.
    These applicants must have valid scores as a proof of English Proficiency for one of the following exams: TOEFL 530(CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2,TEPS 600
