Hanyang at a glance

Hanyang University was established in 1939 and has graduated over 250,000 students, as one of top universities in South Korea. With the high reputation of producing numerous CEOs of global companies and high ranked officers, Hanyang alumni have been leading Korea and the world. Hanyang has achieved to be ranked nationally the 1st in revenues from technology transfer in 2015 and publishes approximately 1,700 theses, and registers around 250 patents annually. With great efforts towards internationalization, Hanyang University has ccomplished to build infrastructure of 1,000 courses instructed in English per semester, 150 foreign professors, and international dormitories. As a result, there are currently over 2,000 international students who are studying as a full-time student at Hanyang.

Hanyang University is comprised of two campuses: one in central Seoul and one in the city of Ansan on the outskirts of Seoul. The Ansan campus is named the "ERICA" campus which stands for "Engineering Research Industry Cluster at Ansan." The Seoul campus is made up 15 different colleges, and is attended by approximately 22,000 students. The ERICA (Ansan) campus has nine colleges, and is attended by 13,000 students. The Hanyang University Seoul campus is conveniently located in central Seoul. This location provides international students with easy access to public transportation, which can be used to reach anywhere in and around Seoul.
